Business Analyst (m/f/d) –

Focus on Life Insurance

Scope of Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze and document requirements for business-critical individual and standard software for insurance companies

  • Create functional concepts in close collaboration with our development teams and the customer’s product managers

  • Translate functional concepts into IT requirements

  • Conduct target/actual comparisons and gap analyses

  • Moderate workshops with customers for requirements gathering

  • Manage and process insurance contracts

  • Provide professional consulting and coordination in customer projects

  • Optimize contract management processes

  • Analyze automation potential and model processes (BPM)

  • Apply knowledge in SQL, ETL tools, data modeling, and UML/BPMN

  • Understand migration processes including KPIs and test automation

  • Experience in testing concepts and agile software development (SCRUM)

  • Understand technical architecture decisions, especially in the context of life insurance processes

Requirements:

​

  • Degree in business administration, business informatics or a comparable qualification (e.g. insurance clerk)

  • Professional experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT projects, ideally in the insurance or financial services sector, with a focus on contract management and life insurance

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a high IT affinity

  • Excellent moderation and presentation skills across all hierarchical levels

  • Independent and goal-oriented working style combined with a positive team spirit and high quality awareness

  • Advanced English skills for collaboration with international IT teams (e.g. Maribor)

  • Fluent German or native speaker

  • Flexibility and occasional willingness to travel for customer projects (approx. 30%)
