New tool enables legally compliant digital signature and document storage without media disruption

By cooperating with UNIMATICA-RGI, the solution provider for digital signatures and payments as well as paperless archiving services within the RGI Group, Novum-RGI expands its SaaS offer for insurers on the Novum Cloud Platform by a cloud service that enables the legally compliant signature and storage of contracts and documents independent of location.

Due to the corona pandemic, Novum-RGI is currently focusing more on expanding its ecosystem with SaaS solutions in the cloud, which offer insurers added value despite social distancing. Following Aestimo, the cost-saving live video tool for the virtual assessment of motor vehicle and property damage, insurers can now use a further value-added service on the Novum Cloud Platform and benefit from the large solution portfolio within the RGI Group. As a SaaS solution on the Novum Cloud Platform, UNISMART offers insurers the opportunity of making contracts and documents securely available to their customers, having them signed digitally and with absolute legal certainty, and, if necessary, initiating a digital payment process.

The simple solution allows insurers to determine who needs to provide digital signatures for what sections of the document and, if necessary, whether payment is required. After being automatically notified via SMS or e-mail that the PDF document is securely available in UNISMART for signing and where applicable, paying, the customer provides his signatures digitally using his own signature device or simply signs by entering an electronic OTP pin. As soon as the document is signed, the insurer receives an automatic notification, can also digitally sign the document, complete it and make it available to the customer in the cloud in a legally secure manner. UNISMART enables an end-to-end paperless, digital process and eliminates the need for signing on site. This not only simplifies the signature process in times of social distancing, but also saves a great deal of time, since the signatures can be provided in a legally secure way anytime and from anywhere in the world.
